You will find over 200 stalls of exceptional quality, featuring unique items that are handcrafted by local and regional artists and craftspeople.
Located in the Old Bus Depot building on 21 Wentworth Avenue in Kingston, Canberra, the markets are easy to access, have ample free parking and a wide range of food stalls to enjoy lunch, a coffee or a quick bite to eat and browse a wonderful array of unique handcrafted items.

With lots of entertainment, face painting, yummy things to eat, and stacks of products especially for kids, the place teems with little ones having loads of fun. Stallholders and items you’ll find: Bright, funky, modern and wearable handmade clothes for little boys and girls, the latest and grooviest accessories, handcrafted toys, artworks for kids’ rooms and much more.

Immerse yourself in creativity with the region’s most talented textile artists showcasing and selling their work. Why visit? Now in its tenth year, Creative Fibre is your opportunity to engage with the region’s textile artists – people who design, print on fabric, weave, make baskets, knit, hand dye fabric – learn about the processes involved, and take home original works. Stallholders and items you’ll find: Beautifully handcrafted home wares and clothing. The Australian National University’s School of Textiles showcase student work, plus have information about courses. Other regional guilds also participate.

Browse your way through the aisles of collectables and small antiques at our third and final Portobello Road event for the year. Why visit? To fossick through an eclectic mix of quirky and interesting treasures. The fun is in the hunt as you never know what you might find amongst the stalls. Stallholders and items you’ll find: Everything from Scandinavian mid century chairs, bright and colourful vases and cut lace tablecloths, to oil lamps, antique cuff links, Parisian buttons and old trading card collections. Rummage through a stack of old suitcases, funky lamp shades, tea cups and saucers and ceramic and glass flying ducks to decorate your home. Retro decorative art blends with antique jewellery, china and art glass, silver, linens and restored pieces.
